White Plains Farmers Market is Back this April15 Bank Apartments / April 17, 2017
One of the best parts of the spring season is finally getting the chance to enjoy fresh and local produce and products, coming from farmers located right around the corner from your 15 Bank apartment. Luckily for 15 Bank residents, the White Plains Farmers Market is all set to reopen once again for the season on April 26.
Held on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. until Nov. 22, the White Plains Farmers Market, located on Court Street which is about half a mile from your 15 Bank apartment, has items such as fruits and vegetables, baked goods, beverages and prepared foods, among many other kinds of local items.
One of the vendors at the White Plains Farmers’ Market is Arcadian Pastures, which provides naturally raised, grass-fed, heritage breed meats. Headquartered in Sloansville, this small, family-run farm raises animals that live in an open and natural, stress-free environment.
Another vendor that you will find at the White Plains Farmers’ Market is The Twisted Branch Olive Oils and Vinegars, which is owned and operated by two local White Plains families. They also have a storefront located at 24 Broadway in Valhalla if you can’t make it to the market on a Wednesday!
At the market, you will also meet Mozzarella Master Greg Tosto, who owns Mozzarella4U and creates handmade mozzarella that is perfect for cooking or even just having a snack. You won’t find quality mozzarella like this in a grocery store! Make sure you stop by the market on their opening date to see what other new vendors they have added to the mix.
